Step 1: First fill the water tank

Twist the water tank off the garment steamer and fill it with water before you begin.
Step 2: Pull the fabric slightly taut

Hold the bottom of the garment and stretch the fabric slightly while steaming. Stubborn wrinkles disappear faster.
Step 3: Steam as you would iron

Press the steam plate against the garment, just like you would when ironing.
Bonus Tip: Steam from the inside

For shirts, blouses, and T-shirts, steaming from the inside often works best. That way, you can see exactly where the wrinkles are while you work.

What is the difference between steaming and ironing?

An iron combines a temperature of 200 °C with firm pressure, and it is precisely that combination of heat and pressure that flattens the fibers of clothing and damages them over time.

A garment steamer relaxes wrinkles with hot steam that penetrates the fabric and allows the fibers to fall back into shape. Because of the much lower temperature, you can hold the steam plate against the fabric for faster results or steam without any contact at all, giving you the same smooth result while keeping your clothes looking beautiful much longer.

In short: ironing removes wrinkles and damages fibers, while steaming only does the former. Steam also freshens clothes, kills 99% of bacteria, and you can simply leave clothes on the hanger.

Which fabrics is the garment steamer suitable for?

The FLOWSTEAM garment steamer is safe for virtually every fabric, including polyester, nylon, linen, silk, cotton, viscose, plush, wool, and dacron. For very delicate fabrics, choose the lowest steam setting. However, do not use the steamer on leather and suede, and be careful when treating silk.
How quickly is the steamer ready and how long can I steam?

The steamer reaches temperature within 25 seconds. With the 370 ml water tank, you can steam continuously for up to 15 minutes on the highest setting and 25 minutes on the lowest setting, enough for multiple garments in a row.
Can I take the garment steamer with me when traveling?

Absolutely! With a weight of 740 grams and compact dimensions (15.5 x 10 x 23 cm), the steamer easily fits in a suitcase. You can even connect the steamer to a water bottle, so you don't need to bring a separate water tank.
Is the garment steamer safe to use?

Yes. The steamer has built-in overheat protection that automatically shuts off the device when it overheats. The garment steamer can be used both horizontally and vertically without leaking.
