Terms of service

In these terms and conditions, the following definitions apply:

Cooling-off period: the period within which the consumer can exercise their right of withdrawal.
Consumer: the natural person who is not acting in the exercise of a profession or business and enters into a remote agreement with FLOWSTEAM.
Day: calendar day.
Long-term transaction: a remote agreement concerning a series of products and/or services, the delivery and/or consumption obligations of which are spread over time.
Durable data carrier: any means that enables the consumer to store information addressed to them personally in such a way that future consultation and unaltered reproduction of the stored information is possible.
Right of withdrawal: the possibility for the consumer to withdraw from the remote agreement within the cooling-off period.
FLOWSTEAM: the natural or legal person offering products and/or services remotely to consumers, established at Sloepkade 1, 2725EX, Zoetermeer, Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce number 94884730, VAT number NL866924280B01.
Remote agreement: an agreement in which, within the framework of a system organized by FLOWSTEAM for remote sales of products and/or services, only one or more remote communication techniques are used until the agreement is concluded.
Remote communication technology: means that can be used to conclude an agreement without the consumer and entrepreneur being in the same room at the same time.

These general terms and conditions apply to every offer from FLOWSTEAM and to every remote agreement concluded between FLOWSTEAM and the consumer.
Before the remote agreement is concluded, the text of these general terms and conditions will be made available to the consumer.
If the remote agreement is concluded electronically, the text of these general terms and conditions can be made available to the consumer electronically in such a way that the consumer can easily store it on a durable data carrier.

If an offer has a limited validity period or is subject to conditions, this will be explicitly stated in the offer.
The offer contains a complete and accurate description of the products and/or services offered, including clothing sizes.
Obvious errors or obvious mistakes in the offer do not bind FLOWSTEAM, and FLOWSTEAM is therefore not obliged to deliver these items.
Each offer contains such information that it is clear to the consumer what rights and obligations are associated with accepting the offer.

The agreement is concluded at the moment the consumer accepts the offer and meets the conditions set therein.
If the consumer has accepted the offer electronically, FLOWSTEAM will immediately confirm receipt of the acceptance electronically.
FLOWSTEAM always has the right to refuse or cancel an order within 14 days after the order is placed.

Customers have the right to withdraw from their purchase within 30 days, in accordance with Article 6:230o of the Dutch Civil Code.
This reflection period begins on the day after the consumer receives all products.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to customized products.

If the consumer wishes to exercise their right of withdrawal, FLOWSTEAM offers a free return service for all customers in the Netherlands and Belgium. This means you do not have to pay shipping costs for returning your product.

FLOWSTEAM may exclude the consumer's right of withdrawal for products made at the consumer's request or clearly of a personal nature.

During the validity period stated in the offer, the prices of the offered products and/or services will not be increased, except for price changes resulting from changes in VAT rates.
All prices are fixed prices.

Payments must be made immediately unless the customer chooses Klarna, which allows for payment at a later time.
Payment methods: iDEAL, Klarna, credit/debit card.
FLOWSTEAM does not impose late payment penalties. However, Klarna may charge interest or fees according to their terms.

Delivery of services/products: Physical product.
Delivery time: Orders in the Netherlands and Belgium placed before 22:00 on a business day are delivered the next day. Orders placed over the weekend are delivered on Tuesday.
Shipping costs: Free shipping on all orders within the Netherlands and Belgium.
Risk transfer: The risk passes to the customer upon delivery of the product, in accordance with Article 7:11 of the Civil Code (BW).

Liability: The consumer is responsible for the correct use of the clothing steamers according to the provided user manual. Using the clothing steamers in a manner that contradicts the instructions may cause damage, and FLOWSTEAM cannot be held liable for this.
Warranty: The warranty on the products is 2 years and is valid for the original purchaser from the date of first purchase. A proof of purchase is required to obtain support under the warranty. This warranty does not cover:
- negligent use or misuse of the product;
- use with incorrect voltage or current;
- impact damage;
- water damage;
- use contrary to the operating instructions;
- disassembly, repair, or modification by anyone other than FLOWSTEAM;
- damage caused by accidents or disasters, such as fire, flooding, earthquake, war, vandalism, or theft;
- damage caused by improper maintenance and storage;
- damage caused by incorrect connections;
- accessories such as batteries;
- exposure to adverse external influences, such as sunlight and other radiation or electromagnetic fields;
- Normal wear and tear.

Complaints can be submitted via the contact form on the website or by email. We aim to respond to complaints within 14 days, in accordance with Article 6:2 of the Dutch Civil Code.

Applicable Law: These terms are governed by Dutch law, in accordance with Article 3:40 of the Dutch Civil Code.
Jurisdiction: Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the district where FLOWSTEAM is located, unless a different competent court in the Netherlands is legally required.

Collection of Personal Data: Personal data is collected and processed via Shopify. For more information, please refer to Shopify's privacy policy.
Use of Cookies: Our website uses cookies to improve the user experience. Necessary cookies are automatically placed, and we do not request consent for non-essential cookies, in accordance with the ePrivacy Directive. Customers can adjust their cookie settings via their browser.
Intellectual Property: All content on the website, including but not limited to text, images, logos, and software, is the property of FLOWSTEAM and is protected by intellectual property rights, in accordance with the Dutch Copyright Act (Book 3 of the Dutch Civil Code).
Force Majeure: In the event of force majeure, such as natural disasters, strikes, or other unforeseen circumstances, FLOWSTEAM is not liable for failure to fulfill obligations, in accordance with Article 6:75 of the Dutch Civil Code.
